My new CX bicycle

I decided to try a cyclocross bike this season but I did not want to spend a lot of money on my 3rd bike so I bought an used frame at Allegro (sort of local Ebay) and plan to utilize unneeded bicycle parts. As usual, in the end, the bike price was considerably higher than planned.

The bike is equipped with a mixture of Campagnolo Centaur (Ergopowers, Rear Derailleurs and Crankset) and Veloce parts. Standard 53 chainring was replaced with 46 one (namely Spécialités T.A. Vento chainring bought here. Building Campagnolo equipped CX bike is not easy, particularly in Poland.

Trip to Bachotek and back

May 1st is a public holiday in Poland and May 3rd is another one. There is a lot of free time at the beginning of May and Polish TeX User's Group (of which I am proud member) traditionally organizes an annual meeting then in Bachotek resort.

Bachotek is circa 200 kms from Sopot where I live. I was able to get there by bicycle when I was younger. Now I travelled by train to Twarda Góra (Gdynia--Bydgoszcz railway route) first and from there by bicycle via Nowe, Grudziądz and Radzyń Chełmiński to Bachotek.

Return trip was along almost the same route, but I cycled to Warlubie---next station from Twarda Góra towards Bydgoszcz at Gdynia--Bydgoszcz railway route.

small old town (cf. market)

Grudziądz

old town (cf. wassertor + impressive truss bridge build in 1879 (cf. bridge's photo). It is second oldest Vistula bridge.

Radzyń Chełmiński

My new road bike

Details on my new road bike: Campagnolo Centaur 10s groupset + Ridley aluminium frame with a (full) carbon fork.

I bought Centaur groupset from www.bike24.com. Complains can be found in the Internet forums concerning theirs service but in my case everything was OK!
